He must find something else to give him a purpose to life.
There are those who find it with love, and they a few lucky bastards these people.
but most humans find it an some kind ideology; communism, nationalism, racism and it's perfectly natural.
Bellowing things like "Nazism is the future". "stalin wasn't the true communism";
people are inherently social creatures and are looking for a community to belong to, of course Tradition from Father and environmental influences that define the foundation and essence of personal identity and to create derivative that, the same "nationalism".
Starting from Plato, Machiavelli, the Westphalia treaty, the French Revolution and the spring of nations that have shaped national identity and fit it into a territory state.
And the fact is, nationalism developed after the religion faded. Humans always have to belong to something.
